Why can modified atmosphere packaging preserve freshness?

1.Oxygen/O₂–Causes food spoilage, such as rancidity of fats, ripening and aging of fruits and vegetables, aging of baked foods, increase in microorganisms, etc. Fresh meat requires high levels of oxygen to maintain its bright red color, and fruit and vegetable packaging requires low levels of oxygen.
2. Carbon dioxide/CO₂–Can inhibit the growth of microorganisms, slow down respiration, easily soluble in water, and soluble in fat.
3. Nitrogen/N₂–Colorless and odorless inert gas, mainly used as filling gas to prevent packaging collapse.
4. The modified atmosphere packaging machine can also be used without filling any gas and has a single sealing function.
